Lucy Reese, MA, tLMHC
Fairfield Iowa Mental Health Counselor
My hope is to be your ally in facing any and all concerns you bring, whether they appear insurmountably huge, or small, bothersome, and elusive. As a counselor, it is my honor to meet you wherever you are: free of judgment and full of compassion. My therapeutic presence is dynamically engaging while also calm, authentic, and accepting.
You can expect my counseling to be queer friendly, trauma informed, sex-positive, and to hold HAES views (health at every size). I am open minded and work well with a wide variety of clients.
Together, we can work through the release of trauma and limiting narratives. We will work to empower your true story of inherent worthiness, deep passion, steady groundedness, and radical acceptance. This process involves psycho-emotional skill development, honest self-expression, and the development of a keen eye for disavowing oppressive/toxic narratives.
I hold a Masters degree in Counseling and Human Development from Lindsey Wilson College, and a TLMHC license in the state of Iowa. I have a BA in both Philosophy and Psychology from Grinnell College.
Lucy Reese is available for to help you grow. To schedule an appointment call (888) 870-1775.
My specialty areas of treatment include trauma, disordered eating, substance abuse, codependency, body image concerns, anxiety, social anxiety, sexual concerns, depression, and psychedelic integration. In sessions, I employ EMDR, Mindfulness-based CBT, and Nonviolent Communication. My views and practices as a counselor are grounded in Feminist Counseling Theory and Decolonization Activism efforts.
I am available for appointments at the Fairfield Iowa office and for phone or video tele-health sessions.
