Many people cover their genuine feelings to protect themselves from pain. I strive to create a safe environment where trust can be developed in the therapeutic relationship. With therapy, people gradually rely less on their need to protect themselves through self-destructive patterns.

I am an Adlerian-based therapist who draws upon other strength and life enhancing practices. When people gain insight, set boundaries and learn healthier ways of expressing their needs, their symptoms often diminish considerably. Our time in life is too brief to keep repeating ineffective patterns.

I work with ages 6-106 and offer both individual and couples’ counseling. Many couples get stuck in ineffective patterns of communication or need help with life transitions or to deepen connections. Every type of relationship is welcome, and diversity of all kinds is celebrated.

My training, experience, and skill-set uniquely qualifies me to work within the intersections of addictions, attachment issues, traumatic experiences, and relationship issues. I engage with clients deeply to allow them to experience life more fully.

I am available for mental health evaluations and provide therapy and treatment as well.

I work in Fairfield, Washington, and Oskaloosa Iowa.
