Director and primary therapist:

Chicago:

Scott Terry, Ed.D., LMFT, LCPC, Ch.T.

Hi, my name is Scott Terry. I have a doctorate in Educational Psychology so you can call me Dr. Terry if you want, but most people just call me Scott. That is part of my whole approach to therapy. I believe in making it less formal so that we can communicate in a direct, honest and natural way.

To foster that, sometimes I like to meet with clients outside of the office. So we might go for a walk by the lake, play a game – whatever it takes to make you more at ease, so that we can discuss the real issues.

We call this environmental psychotherapy. The purpose of our talking is not just to talk, but to make life better, really better, soon.

I am on the board of three mental health organizations. I also lecture at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology on couples therapy and on other topics.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and I have been practicing for over 15 years and I have had experience with a wide range of individual clients, couples and families. I have also provided counseling services to businesses. More...
